Yea – well the time has finally come.  I have been watching my cousin's two boys since July last year.  It's time for me to release that responsibility to someone else – day care; who does this daily for a living.  It's just become very hard for us to handle the extra kids in the house at the young age when my DH works 3rd shift and my girls are older and enjoy different things that I just can't or want to do with a 4yo and 1yo.  Friday is my last day and it couldn't come soon enough. Typically it was hard to get the time off when I needed it to take my own girls to Dr. appointments or school functions, etc. (there is way more to go on about in regards to all this but I won't bother since I've made the choice to discontinue with it for now anyways).

With that being said; this means more time for me to work online and REALLY get a  LOT of things done!  Very excited actually! I look forward to bringing a fresh face to Scrapbook-Bytes and having the time to finally put back into it like I used to!

Due to sad circumstance my cousin and her family have flown out to Texas; leaving me with a 2 day week this week!  Whoa – 5 days off in a row!  First thing I wanna do is get the housework caught up… you know the drill – laundry, dishes, general items laying around the house as always!  Once that is done I feel like I can be inspired to do other things like *ahem* online work.. and MAYBE some scrapbooking [dare I hope it]?  I'm also hoping to finish my blog, a collab project, finish the SBB site design, and so on and so on….

But to just have 3 entire days without the kids here all day long – I can't remember the last time this has happened!

Well my daughter just completed her second dance competition of the season and we are now done for at least I think a month and half. yeah! Love going and I know Megan loves them too – but when they are back to back two weekends in a row – it's tough!  Everyone did GREAT – and the studio got a PLATINUM [highest award you can get] for their production "Oriental Idea" and also high score!  Great job everyone!  I have pics on facebook  (:

I feel like I have SO MUCH to be done right now!  I need to pack for 2 and half days for Megan's dance competition.  Still need to stop and pick up some things for the stay this weekend; need to bake some things to take with us for the girls to snack on – ugh!   thank goodness this is the last dance competition until I believe April! [YEAH!]  Don't get me wrong – I love going and love watching and they do a great job… it's also just very crazy all weekend – lol.

Upside – Megan only has one dance this evening and I have work online I need to take care of most of the day so know I will have plenty of time with internet in the hotel to still get things done so this time I won't feel so behind when we get back.  That's always a good thing!

Well my daughter has another dance competition this weekend and am spending quite a bit of time preparing it to make it a seamless weekend.  Thinking of bringing some pre-cooked meals so we don't have to pay extra for take out meals, etc.  Thinking maybe sloppy joes in a crockpot, sandwich meat for subs, etc.  Anyone else have any other ideas?

I'm happy though too b/c I'll have the laptop with internet access and plenty of time to get LOTS done that I need to do even though I'll be away.  I will pretty much be without kids since Megan gets herself ready for all her dances now and my youngest is staying home with dad this weekend (:

My oldest daughter had one of her dance competitions this weekend – and whoa am so glad to be home.  It was quite the venture!  We woke up the next morning and the toilet had a misfunction in the flapper valve or something and it kept running and would not stop!  Water came out everywhere!  Poor roomy Sue had just gotten out of the shower!  We scrambled around to get everything off the floor – mind you this was in the middle of the girls trying to put on makeup and get ready for their first dance of the morning at 9:15.  On our way there b/c we were running late they text and say their number was lining up – ugh!  We were still on our way there!  All-in-all though got the girls there on time and everything went well.

Megan did great and was asked to be on the Performance Team for their Nationals in New Jersey but we won't be going – it's a $575.00 entry fee alone – EEP.  I love her dancing but not at that cost!  It was an honor she was asked though (:
